Offer your home and an artist from Rio de Janeiro will make a specially created performance. 

It could be a dance, a piece of music, a projected film, an installation, a meal...all happening ‘In the comfort of your own home’. Where it happens...you decide!

Rio artists are waiting to make a piece of original art in 14 London homes.

Take a chance, open your door and receive a unique gift this summer!

Christiane Jatahy, renowned Brazilian theatre maker, is one of the Artistic Directors of Rio Occupation London. As part of the project, she is asking residents across London to open their homes and receive the gift of a performance. Those who would like this unique creative experience must answer several questions (detailed below).

From the residents’ responses Christiane will choose 14 residential spaces and commission an artist to create and present a one off performance or art installation. The final presentation within the home will be filmed and shown in various locations including the V&A and the Rio Occupation London Festival Finale on the 1,2,3 August 2012.

2 - How would you describe your home?

3 - Where do you think that a performance could happen in your home? Please describe this space in detail.

4 - Could this performance be open to public? If so how many audience would you like to host? If not, how many friends would you invite?

5 - This a one off, tell us something about you which might help the artists to create a unique performance experience.

6 - The performances within homes will take place on the 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd July 2012.

They will be filmed. Which of these dates would you be available to host the event? (Each event will take no more than 1 hour and could happen at any time throughout the day.)
